Based on Psalm 37:7
“Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for Him;
do not fret when people succeed in their ways,
when they carry out their wicked schemes.”
— Psalm 37:7
Introduction: The Season of Waiting
Many times in life we enter what the Bible describes as a season of waiting.
It is a season where you are praying…
praying again…
and praying again.
You have not stopped praying because the Bible encourages us to continue seeking God faithfully.
Yet what you are praying for seems delayed.
After some time, the waiting begins to feel heavy.
You may begin to feel tired.
Sometimes you may even feel as if God has forgotten you.
But deep in your heart you still know something important.
You know what God promised you.
You believe that the voice you heard was truly from Him.
Yet the answer has not appeared.
And this is the moment when the waiting season can become very frustrating and emotionally heavy.
The Season of Temptation

One important truth many believers discover is this:
The waiting season is often the season when temptation becomes strongest.
During that time the enemy begins to show you what other people are doing.
You begin to see people around you succeeding.
Sometimes they do not even pray the way you do.
Sometimes they do not even seem to work harder than you.
Yet their lives appear to be prospering.
And the enemy is very clever.
He begins to introduce what appear to be shortcuts.
Shortcuts to money.
Shortcuts to success.
Shortcuts to quick solutions.
Someone may say:
“You can make a lot of money online very quickly.”
“You can do this simple thing and become financially free.”
Especially for the young generation today.
And because you are tired…
Because you have been waiting…
Because your bank account may be empty…
Because your situation feels desperate…
Those shortcuts can start looking very attractive.
The Hidden Truth Behind Shortcuts

But when you dig deeper into many of those shortcuts, you often find something troubling.
Many of them lead to wicked ways.
They promise quick results.
And sometimes they actually work for a moment.
You may gain money quickly.
You may see immediate results.
But every door that the enemy opens often comes with hidden consequences.
Because the path is not righteous.
Why the Bible Warns Us
That is why the Bible gives us this powerful instruction:
“Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for Him.”
The Bible also says:
“Do not fret when people succeed in their wicked schemes.”
Because the truth is that you do not always know which path people used to reach their success.
The pressure to compare ourselves with others can push us into dangerous decisions.
Your Prayers Are Not in Vain

What I want to remind you today is something very important.
Your prayers are not in vain.
No prayer offered to God with a sincere heart is ever wasted.
When you pray in righteousness…
When your intentions are pure…
When you seek God sincerely…
Something is happening even if you cannot see it yet.
God is working beneath the surface.
The Tree Analogy

Your prayers are like planting a tree.
When a tree first begins to grow, it may appear small.
Compared to other trees around it, it may even look weak.
But something very important is happening beneath the surface.
The tree is developing deep roots.
Those roots go deeper and deeper into the ground.
Sometimes for years.
You cannot see them.
But they are preparing the tree to become strong and stable.
And when storms come, that tree will not easily fall.
Other trees may be uprooted by strong winds.
But the tree with deep roots will remain standing.
The Secret of Deep Water

There is another important truth.
In many places, the purest water is found deeper underground.
The deeper you go, the more purified the water becomes.
In the same way, your season of prayer is growing deep spiritual roots.
Those roots are reaching toward the pure source.
And when your life begins to draw from that pure source, something powerful begins to happen.
You begin to grow stronger.
Your life becomes more stable.
Your faith becomes deeper.
The Difference Between God’s Way and Shortcuts
The ways of God may sometimes feel slow.
They may require patience.
They may require waiting.
But the results are pure and lasting.
The shortcuts offered by the enemy may produce quick results, but they often bring hidden destruction.
God’s way may take time…
But it produces something real.
Something stable.
Something that will last.
Final Encouragement
If you are in a season of waiting today…
Do not lose heart.
Do not compare yourself with others.
Do not allow the success you see around you to pressure you into making dangerous decisions.
Instead, remain still before the Lord.
Wait patiently for Him.
