Introduction

There are seasons in life that feel unusually heavy—moments marked by struggle, physical pain, or silent battles that are difficult to explain to anyone else.
In those moments, one question often rises:
Why would God allow this?
From a human perspective, suffering feels unnecessary. It feels like something to escape, something to avoid.
But Scripture reveals a deeper truth.
What if what you are going through is not meant to harm you…
but to prepare you?
What if your current season is, in fact, a painful blessing?
–When Pain Is Part of God’s Plan

The Bible says in Genesis 45:5:
“God sent me ahead of you… to preserve life.”
Joseph spoke these words after years of betrayal, injustice, and suffering.
He had been rejected, sold, falsely accused, and imprisoned. Nothing about his journey looked like calling—it looked like loss, delay, and pain.
Yet, with time, Joseph came to understand something profound:
God had not abandoned him—God had been positioning him.
What felt like suffering was actually preparation.
This reveals a deep truth about the purpose of pain in Christianity:
God may allow you to walk through difficult seasons, not to destroy you, but to prepare you for a greater assignment—one that will ultimately impact others.
–Formed Through Experience, Not Information
God does not prepare His people through theory alone.
He prepares them through experience.
Because experience produces something deeper—understanding, discernment, and compassion.
God prepares and teaches us for His mission through experience—
not what we heard, but what we have lived…
so that when we see it, we don’t just see it—
we feel it.
This is how God uses your experience to equip you to help others.
–A Living Testimony: When God Uses Your Experience

There was a time in my life when I suffered from asthma—a condition that makes it difficult to breathe, often feeling like there is not enough oxygen in your body. In many cases, asthma is considered a long-term condition that people live with for years, and it is not easy to overcome.
During that time, it was painful and overwhelming. It was also very difficult to explain to someone who had never experienced it.
But God healed me—many years ago.
Looking back now, I understand something I could not see then:
God allowed me to go through that season so that one day, I would be able to recognize it in others.
Now, when I encounter someone who is going through the same struggle, I can often sense it—even before they explain it.
And when I recognize it, I do not just observe it.
I feel it.
This is what spiritual growth through trials looks like—when your past pain becomes a present ability to understand and help others.
–David: From Hidden Pain to Public Encouragement

David’s life was marked by rejection, fear, and isolation.
Before he became king, he spent years hiding and surviving under pressure.
Yet, those hidden seasons produced something powerful—deep trust in God.
Out of his struggles came the Psalms, which continue to bring Christian encouragement during hard times to millions of people today.
His suffering was not wasted.
It became a source of strength for others.
–Moses: Prepared in the Wilderness

Moses spent forty years in the wilderness.
It looked like delay.
It looked like silence.
But in reality, it was preparation.
God was shaping his character, building endurance, and preparing him for leadership.
Later, Moses would lead an entire nation through that same wilderness.
This is how God prepares you through trials—
He allows you to walk a path first, so you can guide others through it later.
–Recognizing What You Have Lived
One of the clearest signs that your experience has purpose is this:
You begin to recognize it in others.
Not because someone explained it to you—
but because you have lived it.
You see what others miss.
You feel what others cannot.
This is the power of finding purpose in suffering.
–A Painful Blessing

What you are going through right now may feel overwhelming.
But it is not meaningless.
It is shaping you.
It is preparing you.
It is positioning you.
It is a painful blessing.
Because one day, what you went through will become the very thing God uses
to help someone else.
–Final Reflection
God does not waste pain.
He uses it.
Not only to transform you—but to prepare you for others.
And in time, you may realize:
What felt like your breaking point…
was actually the beginning of your assignment.
